In the context of CESBA, the term “training” encompasses many aspects: training measures enhance the awareness on a sustainable built environment, provide education material, excursions, seminars and conduct public relation work by using different types of media and organizing events. The overall goal is to convince all relevant actors of the necessity of Europe-wide harmonized building assessment systems and to inform them how to use them. Training measurements have to take place during all stages of the building life cycle. Relevant actors are the society, experts (e.g. engineers, craftsmen, and architects), end users and public authorities. It is essential to take the specific needs of different target groups into consideration. Furthermore, an appropriate, target-group specific language should be used and the costs of training measurements should be low. The CESBA Wiki will soon offer training material. In the Alpine Space, different education programs have been tested.
