In order to discuss the needs of Public administrations, Public organisations and SMEs in the field of future buildings, three input presentations and a guided tour of the iHome lab (research laboratory for building intelligence) at university of Lucerne were provided. In his input presentation Mr. Daniel Portmann introduced the CABEE project and the CESBA initiative. Then Mr. Stephan Tomek, Senior researcher at Lucerne university, talked about the possibilities of the living future and Mr. Hans-Peter Broger, energy-consultant at ewz (energy supplier of the city of Zurich), introduced his practical experience in energy-related advisory service. According to this background the future of living and the needs of a common European sustainable building assessment were discussed.
