The WebGIS map from EURAC is a tool designed in the ENERBUILD project about photovoltaic potentials of buildings in South Tyrol.

This tool provides info about the photovoltaic potential of the building, once found the building you can get specific info by clicking directly on its roof.

The annual availability of the solar resource on the different roofs has been labeled into 4 intervals: <800, 800-1000, 1000-1200 and >1200 kWh/m² and it is showed by means of different colors none, yellow, orange and red respectively. Moreover, you can obtain specific information regarding the irradiance and photovoltaic potential just by clicking directly on the roof of the building.

In the map are considered only the roofs of the houses excluding meadows, parking, roads etc… The filtering procedure was carried out by overlapping the building-cadaster map of the city with the Digital Terrain Model (DTM) that reproduces with high accuracy roofs, balconies, trees and other objects having a horizontal surfaces larger than 1m². The needed cartography was provided by the Stadtwerke Brixen AG / ASM Bressanone SpA.
