Conclusions about the needs of development of sustainability indicators and assessment methods SuPerBuildings
This article deals with an early output of the SuPerBuildings project.
This document reviews a number of European and international harmonization activities towards sustainable building, such as CENTC350, SO TC59 SC17, Sustainable Building Alliance (SBA), and others. The deliverable finds out that CEN standards and ISO standards are based on a common life-cycle analysis approach, supplemented by environmental and technical information. Further, the document reviews eleven national building certification systems, i.e. In a second part of this task, eleven national building evaluation tools, i.e. BREEAM, BNB/DGNB, PromisE, HQE, Valideo, CASBEE, LEED, SBTool CZ, Klima:aktiv, Gebäudestandard, TQB and GPR Gebouw. The analysis is done with regards to the availability of sustainability indicators and assessment methods and their degree of common understanding.
